It is open on Tuesdays and Thursday from 4 -6 p.m. The Black Heritage Library and Multicultural Center is a hidden gem in Findlay. Plus, the Hancock Historical Museum hosts several great events throughout the year, including several this winter! Black Heritage Library and Multicultural Center The exhibit on Findlay Glass is beautiful, the information in the Oxley Government Center is educational, the Miller’s Luncheonette Sign will take you down memory lane, the information on the Underground Railroad and Findlay’s role is inspiring, and the story behind the Historical Museum’s ownership of the bathtub from the USS Maine is interesting, somewhat perplexing, and very entertaining. Reopening in February for 2019 the Historical Museum has wonderful pieces that transport you back to the days of the past with all new exhibits. The Hancock Historical Museum is a wonderful place to spend time on a chilly day. The Children’s Museum should be on your list to visit for anyone looking to entertain preschool to school age children! Hancock Historical Museum Children can be firefighters, work at the bank, perform on stage, be farmers, play house, go to school, play in an ambulance, go camping, play in the foam pit, build skyscrapers and more. Hours of fun can be had while playing in all the different exhibits. The Children’s Museum of Findlay is a great place to start when looking for indoor family fun. And don’t miss their monthly events, Funday Sunday as well as Tales for Tots! Bonus – Admission is free! Go around the museum and find favorite stories to read, and take time to really look at the illustrations.
